B. J. McKenna & Co expanded their practice in December 2010 by buying the building previously owned by Slater Heelis Solicitors. Senior partner Bernard McKenna hopes the move will help the company improve the already excellent service it offers clients.

The firm's new premises are based at 4 Moorside Road in Heaton Moor, near Stockport.

Bernard said: "We are an expanding firm, so we seized the opportunity to move in when Slater Heelis decided to relocate its services.

"I actually worked in this very building, when I was a partner in the firm of Metcalfe, Wright & Platt, which was based here back then."

B.J. McKenna & Co is the successor practice to Metcalfe, Wright & Platt.

The company now has three offices serving the south Manchester area, providing a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week service to clients.

The new office in Moorside Road will be the firm's centre for dealing with house sales and purchases, wills and probates, and lasting powers of attorney.

The practice's family law department - including divorce and child law - for which it holds a legal aid franchise, will be based at its offices in Heaton Moor Road in Stockport.

The personal injury and employment law department will also be dealt with at the offices in Heaton Moor Road.

Home visits can be arranged for those unable to attend our offices due to infirmity.
